Terms of use

Last updated: 5 November 2026

Artrio is a joint pain diary: you record how your joints feel, and the app combines that with the weather so you can spot patterns. These terms govern your use of the Artrio app. By installing or using the app you agree to them. Please read them together with the privacy policy.

1. Who we are

Artrio is provided by Keus.nl (Mark Keus), Industrieweg 46-8563, 6541 TW Nijmegen, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) no. 94533423, under the New Angle app platform (newangle.app). In these terms “we” means Keus.nl and “you” means the user of the app. You can reach us through the contact form or by e-mail at app@keus.nl.

2. Using the app

You get a personal, non-transferable right to use Artrio on your own device for non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, sell, rent, decompile or otherwise misuse the app, and you will not use it for anything unlawful. In addition to these terms, the terms of the store where you downloaded the app (Google Play or the App Store) apply.

3. No medical advice

Artrio is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. The app is a diary and a tool for self-insight. The patterns, overviews, scores and tips it shows are based solely on what you enter and on public weather and environmental data; they are not a diagnosis, a treatment or a replacement for a doctor, pharmacist or other healthcare professional.

Always consult a healthcare professional for questions about your health, medication or treatment, and never postpone or stop treatment because of something you saw in the app. In an emergency, contact the emergency services.

4. Your data

Everything you enter in Artrio stays locally on your device; we have no server, no account and no copy. That also means you are responsible for your data: if you delete the app or clear its data, the data are gone and we cannot recover them. Use the app's export features or a backup of your device if you want to keep your data. How the app handles data is described in the privacy policy.

5. Data from third parties

The app retrieves weather data from the public service Open-Meteo, based on a coarse location. Those data are forecasts and measurements of a third party: they can be imprecise, delayed or temporarily unavailable, and they say nothing about your personal situation. We do not guarantee their accuracy or availability. How the app handles location is described in the privacy policy.

6. Purchases and payments

Artrio is free to download and use; filling in the diary always stays free. The app offers an optional Artrio Premium subscription (billed per year) that unlocks extra features. The price, the term and any free trial are shown in the app and in the store before you confirm.

7. The app is provided as is

We build Artrio with care, but the app is provided “as is”, without any guarantee that it is free of errors, uninterrupted or available on every device. We may change the app at any time, add or remove features, and discontinue the app or any part of it. Maintenance and improvements are delivered through updates in the store; some features may require a recent version of the app or of your operating system.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage, loss of data or loss of profit arising from the use of, or inability to use, Artrio, nor for decisions about your health that you take on the basis of the app. Where liability does exist, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the event. This limitation does not apply in case of intent or deliberate recklessness on our part and does not affect your mandatory rights as a consumer.

9. Intellectual property

The app, the name Artrio, the design, the texts, illustrations and the software are owned by Keus.nl or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other rights. None of it may be reproduced or published without our permission. The data you enter yourself remain yours.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example for new features or changed legislation. The date at the top shows the latest change. We announce important changes in the app or on this page. If you keep using the app after a change, the new terms apply.

11. Applicable law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands. If you live in another country of the European Union as a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of that country. If any provision of these terms turns out to be invalid, the remaining provisions continue to apply.

12. Contact
