Privacy policy
MusiClover is a playful app for learning to read music notes. The core is simple: all data stays on the device. No account, no cloud, no tracking, and we share nothing with third parties. The app is suitable for children — and precisely for that reason everything is set up so that nothing is collected or sent.
1. Who we are
MusiClover is developed by Mark Keus (“we”). If you have a question about privacy, please use the contact form.
2. In short
- Everything you do in the app is stored locally on the device.
- We have no server and therefore never receive your data.
- No account, no cloud sync, no ads, no analytics, no trackers.
- Nothing is shared with third parties — not even anonymised or aggregated.
- The app works entirely offline; no internet connection is needed to practise.
3. Which data does the app process, and where is it kept?
Everything the app remembers is kept exclusively locally on the device, in the app's protected private storage (a SQLite database). This covers:
- A name or nickname and a chosen avatar that you enter during setup.
- Your progress: which notes you practise, how often right and wrong, and which you already master.
- The stage of your meadow and the number of completed practice sessions.
- Your settings: sound and vibration on or off, clef, accidentals and session length.
No health data, no location and no contacts are processed. This data does not leave the device.
4. No account, no cloud, no tracking
MusiClover works entirely without an account or sign-in. There is no server of our own and no cloud storage. The app contains no analytics SDKs, no ad networks, no crash reporting with personal data and no trackers. We do not sell data and share nothing with third parties — not even in anonymised or aggregated form.
5. Children
MusiClover is meant to help children read music and is therefore partly aimed at children. Because all data stays locally on the device and nothing is sent to us or to third parties, we collect no personal data from children. The name or nickname and the avatar a child chooses are used only on the device to make the app personal.
The app contains no ads and no external links to social media. The only purchase is MusiClover Plus, a one-time unlock handled by the store. Parents and carers keep full control: all data can be viewed and changed in the app, and deleting the app data (or the app itself) removes everything from the device for good.
6. Sound and vibration
On an answer, the app can play a short tone and briefly vibrate the device (you can turn this off in the settings). The sounds are inside the app itself; nothing is streamed or fetched from the internet, and the microphone is not used.
7. Payments
The current version contains no paid features or in-app purchases. Should that change later, payment will run through the app store (App Store or Google Play) and not through us; we will update this policy accordingly.
8. Retention and deletion
Your data stays on the device for as long as you keep it. To erase everything, delete the app data (through your device settings) or the app itself — that removes the local database completely. Because we have no copy, there is nothing for us to retain or delete.
9. Security
Your data lives in the app's protected private storage on the device itself. The best protection is therefore to secure the device itself with a PIN, password or biometrics.
10. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data. With MusiClover you have that control directly: all data lives on the device and can be viewed, changed and deleted in the app. We hold no copy and therefore cannot view, export or erase anything on your behalf.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy, for example with new features. The date at the top shows the latest change. We announce important changes in the app or on this page.
