Migrenio press kit
Everything you need to write about Migrenio without having to ask us: the story, the facts, images and a promo video. Stuck, or want to check something? Let us know through the contact form.
In short
Migrenio is a migraine diary made for the moment you are least able to use an app: during an attack. One tap starts a log; all details are optional and can be filled in later. The attack screen is extra dark, with buttons large enough to hit without looking.
Everything stays local on the phone — no account, no cloud, no tracking, no ads. And the air pressure is recorded automatically with every attack, using the barometer in the device, so you see connections without entering anything.
What makes Migrenio different
Privacy that can be enforced, not promised
Most health apps promise to be careful with your data. Migrenio simply has no server where anything could end up: your attacks, medication, triggers and notes live in a database on your device. There is no account, so there is nothing to link, leak or sell on. If you want to share data, you create a PDF report yourself and choose who gets it.
A barometer migraine app that also works on Android
That air pressure can play a part in migraine is well known, and there are apps that measure it automatically — but almost all of them are for iPhone only. Migrenio reads the barometer that many Android devices already have, and falls back on a weather service when that sensor is missing. For Android users with migraine, that is the gap the app fills.
Statistics that dare to say ‘no’
Where apps in this category like to make confident predictions, Migrenio deliberately also shows “no link found” and “not enough data”. No medical claims are made: the app does not say the weather causes your migraine, but how often your attacks coincided with a pressure drop.

Quote from the maker
“With migraine, every action is one too many. That is why you start an attack with a single tap, and everything else can wait until you feel human again. And because your health is nobody else's business, there is deliberately no server — so there is nothing we could ever share.”
About the maker
Migrenio is made by Mark Keus and appears on New Angle, the app platform of Keus.nl. That is where we present the apps made alone or in collaboration — besides Migrenio, those are Ikzelf and MusiClover. For interviews or background: the contact form.

What Migrenio is not
Migrenio is a diary for tracking your own migraine pattern. It is not a medical device and not a diagnosis or treatment tool, and makes no statements about cause or treatment. For medical questions, a doctor remains the right address.
